Christmas Card Swap

Yesterday I received my cards back from a Christmas card swap I did with some fellow demos. Wow were they cool! I'll be sharing them on my blog a bit at time, since I still plan on drooling over them myself for a little longer!

For now I thought I'd share the card I made for the swap. I was pretty jazzed with how it turned out. I started with the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper, Baja Blue and Not Quite Navy card stock, the Snow Swirled stamp set and the Filigree Flowers designer brads. I had thought at first to use the filigree brad at the top of the tree, but decided it looked too heavy, so I moved it next to the embossed sentiment and added a few plain brads to dress up the tree. It still looked a little plain and after playing with the placement a bit more, I decided to add a touch of Mellow Moss to the color scheme. It was exactly what the card needed, and I loved how the circle punch set the filigree brad off just a little more.

I'm getting excited for tomorrow. I've made arrangements for the boys (that includes Papa) to spend the day together and I'm headed to an all day crop. Woo-hoo! I might actually have some scrapbook pages to share here if I don't spend the whole day chatting and drinking coffee!
