Simple Envelope Gift Card Holder

Happy Friday everyone! Here’s another super-quick idea to dress up presents of gift cards or money, using the envelope liner thinlits.

I was going to do a video, and then realized this was so simple I could just show you in a few photos.

Using one sheet of the Trim the Tree DSP paper pack and the smallest size of envelope thinlits, cut out two pieces in your Big Shot. It’s tight, but you can get both from a single sheet.

Fold back the flap on one to show the pattern on the opposite side of the paper.

Run some Tombow glue around the back side of the folded piece. Go around the very edges on 3 sides, leaving the folded edge free of glue.

Stick down and add some ribbon.

Grab an image & greeting from whatever stamp set you have piled up on your disaster of a desk (seriously! don’t spend hours searching for the “perfect” stamp) and cut it out with a punch/die/scissors. Add your gift card/money and call it DONE!

I got the idea for these on Patty Bennett’s blog. Click here to see her awesome examples, she uses a larger envelope size.

…and it’s Friday!

Our Christmas tree is not faring well under the machinations of Merlin the Kitten. To date, he has not managed to pull the whole thing down, but I suspect it is only a matter of time!
